The Timbuk2 Division backpack is currently one of our favorite personal item backpacks for flights. This laptop backpack not only meets the personal item size criteria for most airlines, but it's also packed with great features that makes a travel powerhouse. Grabbing in-flight essentials is easy thanks to it's rear laptop compartment, side water bottle holder and smaller pockets for organization. The main compartment is also surprisingly roomy for an 18-liter pack. You can easily fit bulkier items like a toiletries kit, jacket or neck pillow.
